Find a sperm donor in Austria
Verified donors, a calm space, and no cost. Here's how you find a donor who fits, at your own pace.
There are three ways to find a sperm donor in Austria: through a fertility clinic, through a foreign sperm bank, or through a private donation. This platform is for the private route. You create a free profile, look through verified donors, and message whoever you'd like to meet. Nobody matches you, and nobody takes a cut.
How you find a donor
You search and you decide. We don't match anyone, and we don't suggest anyone to you.
- 1
Register for free
Sign up with your email. You get a six-digit code, no password. You never need payment details.
- 2
Browse donors
Filter by federal state, age, and verification. Each profile shows the basics like height, eye and hair colour and, if the donor wants, medical details.
- 3
Reach out yourself
As a recipient you can message any donor first, no matter how far you've verified yourself. Whether and when you meet is up to you.
- 4
Make your own agreement
Verified recipients get templates for a written agreement under the FMedG. The rest you settle directly between you.
How we keep things safe
Trust grows through verification. It's voluntary and built in tiers, so you can judge who you're talking to.
Selfie and ID verification
Donors confirm their face by selfie or their official ID. You can see at a glance which tier someone has reached.
Medical proof (voluntary)
Some donors add a semen analysis, an STI test, or their blood group. That's a plus, but it doesn't replace your own medical check-up.
You control your visibility
You decide who sees your profile and your photos, and you can pause or delete it any time. We use no trackers and no advertising.
What does the search cost?
Nothing. The platform is non-profit and stays free. There are no fees, no commission, and no paid extra features. It's funded from our own pocket and, later, from voluntary donations. We earn nothing from you finding someone. That's exactly why we don't suggest anyone to you.
Who is private sperm donation open to?
Short answer: anyone who wants a child. Many clinics give the impression that private sperm donation is only for married couples. That's not true.
The Reproductive Medicine Act recommends marriage, a registered partnership, or cohabitation in §2(1). That's a recommendation, not a ban. With a private donation, nobody checks your marital status.
Single women
You don't need a partner to search here.
Lesbian couples
You're expressly welcome. Many recipients here are couples.
FTM individuals
Trans men and non-binary people who want to become pregnant can take this route too.
We don't enforce any of these recommendations as a condition. All that matters to us is that everyone is an adult and acts of their own free will.
Private doesn't mean commercial
Private sperm donation between adults is allowed in Austria. What's banned is the commercial trade in sperm (FMedG §16(2)). We sell nothing and broker nothing for money. We only provide the space where you find each other. Anonymous or open donation: that's yours to decide together.
What the Reproductive Medicine Act actually says, we explain in our post on whether private sperm donation is legal in Austria. You'll find more answers in our frequently asked questions about private sperm donation and an overview of how a private sperm donation works.
This is not legal or medical advice. For your situation, a doctor or a counselling service can help.
Common questions about finding a donor
How do I find a sperm donor in Austria?
Register for free, look through the verified profiles, and message the donors who fit you. You search yourself and set the pace.
Is private sperm donation legal in Austria?
Yes. Private donations between adults are allowed, as long as no commercial trade takes place (FMedG §16(2)).
Can I look for a donor as a single woman or as a lesbian couple?
Yes. The recommendation of marriage or partnership in the FMedG (§2(1)) is not a ban. With a private donation, nobody asks about your marital status.
What does the donor search cost?
Nothing. The platform is non-profit and free throughout. There are no fees and no commission.
Are the donors checked?
Donors can verify themselves by selfie and ID and voluntarily add a semen analysis, STI test, and blood group. Verification builds trust, but it doesn't replace your own medical check-up.
Anonymous or open donation — what's the difference?
With an open donation, the donor and recipient know each other, and the child can later know who the donor is. With an anonymous donation, that stays closed. With a private donation, you decide yourselves which route fits you.
What happens after first contact?
You message, get to know each other in your own time, and clear up your expectations. Verified recipients get templates for a written agreement. Whether and when you meet stays entirely your decision.
Which federal states can I search in?
The platform is open across all of Austria, from Vienna to Vorarlberg. You filter by federal state and see who wants to donate nearby or anywhere in the country.
