General

  • Does it cost anything?

    No. This platform is non-profit — no fees, no commissions, no paid features. It is self-funded and supported by voluntary donations.

  • Is private sperm donation legal in Austria?

    Yes. The Austrian Reproductive Medicine Act (FMedG) regulates assisted reproduction. Private donations between adults are permitted as long as no commercial brokering takes place (FMedG §16(2)).

  • How is my identity protected?

    You decide who can see you, and you can pause or delete your profile at any time.

Recipients

  • Do I have to be married?

    No. The FMedG recommends marriage, registered partnership, or cohabitation (§2(1)) — we don't enforce this. Single women, lesbian couples, and FTM individuals are equally welcome.

  • Can I message donors without being verified?

    Yes. Recipients can first-contact a donor at any verification level. You decide when (and whether) to verify yourself.

Donors

  • Will I be paid for donating?

    No. Paid donations are not permitted under FMedG §16 — only documented out-of-pocket expenses.

  • How many families can I donate to?

    Up to three families (FMedG §14(2)).

  • What does verification get me?

    Verified donors can first-contact recipients and appear to recipients filtering for verified donors.
